Advanced Engine Technology in the Ford C-Max

The technology of the Ford C-Max appears not just under the hood but in the passenger cabin. The SYNC® 3 system delivers information and entertainment through a responsive and colorful touchscreen or through voice commands. With support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, this technology also interfaces with your compatible smartphone.

Generating up to 188 combined horsepower, the 2.0L Atkinson-cycle inline-4 gasoline engine works with an electric motor that is charged up by a lithium-ion battery. You can go up to 85 MPH on electricity alone. Helping to cool the engine are the Active Grille Shutters up front. They stay open at low speeds but shut down when you reach the highway to optimize aerodynamics.

You can find out more about the Ford C-Max by making a call to Sands Ford of Pottsville and requesting a test drive.
